October 12-13, 2023
What Is It?
It's a party unlike any other. In honor of our TENTH Hootenanny, this year's celebration will be eXtended!
Previous years have included water skiing, jet skiing, outdoor grilling, catered food, ATV riding, kayaking, running from alligators, and general hilarity.
This year will include an optional overnight stay the Thursday night before, so the fun can commence early on the morning of Friday the 13th.
Where is it?
Highland Park Fish Camp &
Blue Spring State Park
The Fish Camp is located in Deland, FL and will be the overnight location and port of embarkment for the journey to Blue Springs State Park. Highland Park Fish Camp's all cedar rustic cabins are very popular with fishermen and families. Their air conditioned cabins are 12' x 32' and are fully furnished including linens. The full size kitchens have dishes and utensils with full size appliances. They offer a T.V. with satellite dish. Enjoy sitting out on the screened in porches as you kick back on our Cracker Barrel rocking chairs. No Wi-Fi access available.
Blue Spring State Park is on the eastern edge of a vast basin of preserves, state parks and wildlife refuges that make up the watershed of the north-flowing St. John’s River in southwestern Volusia County.
Boats & BBQ
Starting Friday Morning as early as you want, you can take a Pontoon Boat out to explore the St. Johns River Basin. We have four boats reserved, so you'll have to pick some friends.
For lunch we are planning to meet up at Blue Spring State Park. It's about 90 minutes of beautiful boating to get from the Fish Camp down to the Park, so your captain will have to meander that way by about 10:00 AM.
